4 months!!

We attempted to take pictures of Miss Corinne on her actual 4 month birthday, which was yesterday. She was mostly interested in chewing on her hands and making silly faces.

We planned to try again this morning anyway, but when she greeted me from her bed like this, I knew it would be a good time to take pictures. (Actually, she wakes up this happy EVERY DAY! It's awesome!)

Here are the attempts at the actual photo on day 2. I think they turned out a little better, don't you?

Look at her beautiful mouth!

Happy girl.

Barrett really, really wanted to help.

So I let him.

I LOVE how they are looking at each other here! It actually makes me cry a little!

How cute are they? Corinne's practically upside down trying to look at him!

Played too hard...

I thought she was getting tired but she wasn't falling asleep, so we decided to play for a bit. I had walked away from her for a minute when I realized that it seemed strangely quiet in the room. I turned around to see what was going on and this is what I found:

Poor girl must have been really tired!

July 4th

I tried to get a good picture of Barrett and Corinne for the 4th, but this is the best I could do! Barrett wasn't very cooperative (imagine that!) and I was afraid Corinne was going to spit up any minute.

We got these little hats the first year we had Sadie (our dog) and every year since then, we've taken a picture with someone wearing one of the hats. This year we got several pictures.

Corinne's not so sure she likes wearing it!

She might feel a little better now that Stuart is in the picture also.

Barrett saw us taking pictures and wanted to help, so we gave him a hat, too.

We had fun later when our friends came over to eat dinner with us! Barrett got to share his picnic table with Kayli, Julia and Matthew. Notice how the boys won't look at the camera.

Her latest feat...

Corinne hated tummy time when we started it, but has recently gotten much better at it. Normally, Barrett would have been lying right next to her, but he was napping this time.

This was taken just a few days ago and she's holding her head up even higher now!

She was pretty intent on looking at this toy.

Even though she doesn't mind tummy time so much anymore, she'd still rather be on her back. And she's pretty happy that she recently realized that she has toes!

We also think she's teething now. She's had her hands in her mouth like this over the past few days and she's having some trouble going to sleep at night.
